Lucas scored and West Ham crashed out of the FA Cup

Despite of a goal from the Spanish striker, the Hammers were defeated by AFC Wimbledon (4-2) and said goodbye to the FA Cup.


It wasn't the best night for the team led by Manuel Pellegrini, who faced the FA Cup with the purpouse of advancing to the next round. Without Lucas Pérez in the starting XI, the Hammers played a bad first half against a rival from the English third division. AFC Wimbledon surprised West Ham from the beginning and thanks to Appiah got ahead soon. 


Scott Wahstaff score the 2-0 few minutes before the end of the first half. After the break, the local team scored the 3-0. This result forced the Chilean manager to make a triple change trying to reverse the bad situation. 


With Lucas Pérez on the field, West Ham improved up. The Spanish striker come out to demonstrate something and he scored the 3-1. The former Arsenal player got a rejection in the area to beat the rival keeper. 


Another player who jumped into the pitch from bench, Felipe Anderson, scored the 3-2 (71') with a free-kick. West Ham was looking for the tie but they couldn't scored their third goal of the match and Sibbick scored the definitive 4-2. Fair and surprising result for an AFC Wimbledon that will be in the round of 16. The Hammers will focus only on the Premier League, where they will face Wolverhampton the next day.
