The Hammers achieved the victory (3-1) against Cardiff City thanks to the great performance of the Galician striker, who scored two goals in five minutes after replacing Arnautovic.
The London Stadium hosted an important game for West Ham in its goal to continue climbing positions in the Premier League. A match in which Pellegrini chose to line up Chicharito and Arnautovic from the start after the Mexican scored two goals last weekend, but in which the leading role would be reserved to Lucas Pérez, who signed his best perfomance since his arrival.
The Spanish striker jumped into the field in the 40' after Arnautovic left the pitch due to an injury. The former Arsenal player had the option to play 50 minutes in a Premier League match, something that had not happened so far and Lucas did not miss the opportunityy. In the second half, he entered the pitch with the clear intention of giving the win to his team.
In just five minutes, the Galician player achieved a double. The first goal came in the 49' led by an initial recovery of Lucas. The ball fell to Snodgrass, who assisted Lucas. With the left foot and without thinking too much, the Spanish striker scored the 1-0.
Five minutos later, Lucas Pérz would be the main character again. This time was Masuaku who assisted the Spanish striker after a great play on the left side started by Noble. The Galician player beat Etheridge for the second time and sowed madness in the London Stadium.
With the game almost closed, Michail Antonio scored the 3-0 after a good corner kick. In the last play of the match, Cardiff City scored the 3-1 in a corner kick play.
Lucas Pérez debuted as a scorer in the Premier League with West Ham after having played just 107 minutes till this day. The Londoners got three points that put them in a very comfortable position in the table. They will face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
